2020 Tax Information
TAXES ARE DUE MAY 17, 2021
You MUST have all paperwork filled out before coming to the tax window. The tax office will no longer be able to fill out paperwork at the window. ALL W-2's and Federal 1040's plus schedules are required to be included with your form. Gambling/Lottery winnings are taxable. Returns are not considered filed until we have all documents in the Tax Office.
Forms can also be left in the water box.
Be sure to mark the envelope "INCOME TAX"
Due to social distancing, there will only be one tax window open. Only payments (NO CASH) and forms will be accepted at the tax window. It is required that you wear a mask at all times while in City Hall to protect yourself and our staff.
Carry forward losses only started with the 2016 Tax year and cannot go back beyond that. Prior to that, they were not allowed per Conneaut City Ordinance.
Any extensions that are filed need to have Name, Address and Social Security Numbers on them.
Any amount you owe that is not paid by the due date is subject to penalty.
Our late filing fee schedule is a graduated scale. The starting fee is $25.00 and it increases by $25.00 every 30 days thereafter until filed.
